Bio
The Bio Light system, developed by LOMAR, is the result of technological innovation designed to enhance people’s psycho-physical well-being. This system aims to improve patient comfort and health through lighting specifically studied to support the circadian rhythm. The circadian rhythm is a biological cycle that regulates key functions such as hormone production, sleep, appetite, attention, and body temperature. Inadequate exposure to light, or exposure at the wrong times of day, can disrupt this balance, negatively affecting well-being and increasing the risk of health issues. LOMAR has integrated into Bio Light+ an innovative technology that combines natural and artificial light to provide the right intensity and spectrum at different times of the day. Although adapting circadian lighting to individual needs can be complex, LOMAR has made personalized solutions possible to improve patients’ quality of life.
In a constantly evolving world, the management of diagnostics and the control of medical equipment must be accessible and practical. With our system, diagnostic control is always at your fingertips via computer, tablet, or smartphone, enabling healthcare staff to monitor every device in real time. The bedhead units of an entire ward can be managed centrally, with the option to set maximum and minimum levels for direct and indirect lighting, ensuring optimal use of energy resources. Turning off all lights simultaneously is quick and simple, reducing consumption and improving efficiency. Nighttime brightness can be set just as easily: define time slots and let the system automatically switch to night mode. When needed, healthcare staff can instantly switch from night to day mode, ensuring the right environment for every situation. The lighting management system, based on the M0307001 logic controller, allows complete control of functionalities, including external switch-on, light intensity adjustment, and independent management of upper and lower lights. All functions are always available and can also be activated after the device has been installed. In rooms with multiple beds, the system enables ‘Intelligent Management’ of external switch-on commands. Thanks to the CAN_BUS module, each bedhead recognizes the status of the others, allowing autonomous lighting control for each station. Specifically, if indirect lighting is activated from an external control point, all lighting beams in the room automatically synchronize. The external switch-on button is connected to just one bedhead, which then communicates with the others in the room, reducing connection and installation time and costs.
Thanks to the implementation of artificial intelligence, Nodin can analyze requests in real time, recognizing priorities and optimizing assistance, for an increasingly personalized and efficient care experience. Nodin is the intelligent call system that ensures constant protection and support. Inspired by the Celtic god of healing, Nodin provides a direct communication channel between patient and nurse, enabling timely intervention whenever needed


Video terminal with 15.6” 1366 x 768 touch-screen PC for call management and event logging across each ward, equipped with Lomar Call Monitor management software and compatible with Windows 10/11. It is suitable for all environments as it can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall. The three access levels—healthcare operator, maintenance technician, and programmer—allow independent management of the ward, system expansions, replacements, and diagnostics. Every event is displayed to the user and recorded for later consultation. The management interface is simple and intuitive, enabling healthcare staff to operate the system without the need for specific training courses. The combination of bedhead units and the Lomar call system makes it possible to centrally manage, from the nurse station software, the adjustment of bedhead lighting as well as the configuration of night light settings with predefined times and values.
