Lomar Medical and the New Milan Polyclinic: Innovation, Well-being, and Sustainability

In June, Lomar Medical began its collaboration with the New Policlinico in Milan to develop equipment for the new hospital, a cutting-edge project that combines technology, well-being, and sustainability.

The new Polyclinic, scheduled for completion in 2025, will consist of two seven-story blocks connected by a three-story central structure. In addition to this central structure, a therapeutic garden will be created on the rooftop, inspired by New York's High Line. It will feature spaces for pet therapy, horticulture workshops for patients, yoga, and fitness facilities for seniors and pregnant women. With a footprint comparable to that of Milan's Duomo, it will also include spaces for meditation, physical therapy, a small music arena, and play areas for hospitalized children.

After successfully completing the first procurement phase, Lomar Medical was asked to provide additional equipment to further support the project. During today's site visit, we evaluated the integration of even more innovative solutions for hospital departments, always with the goal of improving patient comfort and the quality of healthcare services.

In keeping with the hospital's green approach and focus on people's well-being, the head walls supplied by Lomar Medical will feature Biolight, a biodynamic lighting system that mimics the variations of natural light, promoting patient well-being and supporting their circadian rhythms.

A hospital of the future, where innovation, sustainability, and patient care go hand in hand.
