The curtain, made of fireproof and washable fabric available in various colors, is placed, when closed, inside a central profile similar to a side-opening cabinet and equipped with a knob or retractable handle. The curtain is opened and unfolded via a telescopic folding arm with an automatic lock when extended and a manual push-button release for easy closing. All utilities, including electricity and gas outlets, are located on both side profiles of the bedhead unit, creating a particularly clean design. The available colors and finishes allow the medical device to blend seamlessly into its surroundings.

The bedhead beam's load-bearing structure is made from a combination of five extruded aluminum profiles, resulting in a modern, compact, yet functional aesthetic with rounded shapes and an absence of sharp edges. The side profiles contain, with appropriate divisions and separations, the 230V electrical wiring for powering sockets, buttons, and switches, as well as the low-voltage wiring for data, telephone, call systems, alarms, and diagnostics, the lighting system management board, DIN-rail terminal blocks, a general grounding node, piping, and connections for medical gas outlets, separated by appropriate watertight bulkheads. On the outside, the electrical components—supports, plates, call systems, voice, and equipotential sockets—are located on the sides.

The central compartment housing the retractable awning system features a side-opening door with sturdy mechanical hinges and a knob or retractable handle, as desired. The opening sequence for the telescopic partition awning involves opening the compartment, raising the telescopic arm until it automatically locks in the horizontal position, extending the arm to the desired length, and finally unfolding the fabric awning. To close the awning, use the manual pressure release to shorten the telescopic arm and fold it into the compartment.

Among the various surface finishes available, there are also those with a wood effect, obtained thanks to a chemical anodization process and two-tone painting, all at the customer's discretion, which give the bedhead beam an elegant appearance that integrates completely with the furnishings of the hospital room in which it will be installed, aiming to recreate a more comfortable environment for the patient.
