Intensive YES
Intensive SI, a suspended medical device. Ceiling-mounted using custom-made plates, counterplates, and uprights.

The bedhead beam's load-bearing structure is made from a combination of four extruded aluminum profiles, creating a modern yet functional aesthetic with rounded shapes and no sharp edges. The upper profile houses the LED strips for indirect ambient lighting, while the lower profile contains, with appropriate divisions and separations, the 230V electrical wiring for powering sockets, buttons, and switches, as well as the low-voltage wiring for data, telephone, call systems, alarms, and diagnostics, the lighting system management board, DIN-rail terminal blocks, and the general ground node. The electrical components—plates, supports, call systems, equipotential sockets, etc.—are located on the outside. The lower profile, equipped with watertight partitions, houses the pipes and the provisions for the medical gas sockets, with dimensions adequate for the insertion of active and passive EGA sockets and which allows for the housing of over 10 gas pipes inside. The lower closing element houses the LED lighting systems for examination and reading lights.
The fastening system consists of plates with threaded rods to be fixed to the ceiling and uprights with welded counterplates that are bolted to the plates. The uprights can be opened to inspect the electrical and gas lines, and are custom-made to allow the end user to manage the various utilities at the correct height. Furthermore, the threaded fastening rods allow for some adjustment for optimal positioning of the bed head. The upright spacing is variable, allowing it to be adapted to specific site requirements without the need for construction or structural work. In continuous row versions for multiple beds, intermediate uprights are used to ensure a tight fit between the joints, while pins and other mechanical joints are used to align the individual sections.
The horizontal movement of the accessories is achieved by a system of ball bearings positioned on linear guides, guaranteeing a system load capacity of 100 kg. Movement occurs only when the user presses the release lever, and from that moment it is possible to move the accessory trolley horizontally and/or rotate it. Once the release lever is released, the system stops in the left position. The brake is mechanical.
The in-house lighting system allows for indirect lighting via the upper LED bars from 4000 to 8000 real lumens (not nominal) available in 3000/4000/5000°K color temperatures, while the upper night light is managed by lowering the indirect light percentage to preset levels that the customer can easily modify according to their needs by following simple instructions.
For direct light for examination and reading, small LED modules are used, located in the lower part of the bedhead, which still maintain a light level of 1500 - 3000 real lumens for each individual module, always in the colour temperatures of 3000/4000/5000° K.
The polycarbonate screens covering the LED systems are thin and linear, allowing for greater wear resistance with less maintenance while also providing a high-performance lighting system. Furthermore, they are recessed into the aluminum profiles to create a smooth surface that reduces bacterial buildup, making cleaning and sanitizing easier for medical staff, and enhancing the finished product's design.
